Faux Filigree – The Finished Piece

Yesterday I showed you what happens when you coat a piece of crochet work with Envirotex Lite.  After it dries it becomes a new tough but flexible surface to work on.
I added a little patina colouring to make my new faux filigree look aged.  Then I glued on this cameo.
I could use this for a brooch, a pendant or if I had done a little more planning could have made two for a pair of earrings!  Envirotex Lite resin provides you with the strength you’ll need to attach beads and charms to the original fragile crocheted section.

Wow! I love this Carmi. Did you use Envirotex Lite to attach the Cameo? Beverly

I used just a tiny amount of glue (E600) because the surface was uneven. Otherwise I normally use Envirotex Lite for gluing too!
