Pink Glitter Resin Knobs DIY
Hi resin crafters, it’s Natalie from Doodlecraft. I love updating furniture and one of the simplest ways is to change up the knobs on a nightstand or dresser. I have a thing for pink glitter, don’t you just love it too!? Do you have a nightstand, dresser or even cabinet doors that need a little updating? It’s especially easy to make a custom knob for a uniquely perfect touch.
Glitter Resin Knobs Supplies
Pink Glitter
Knob Hardware
E6000 Glue
Disposable Gloves
Clear polyester resin is good for projects that have more than a 1/4 inch thickness to them. First, read all the instructions for the mixing of the resin.
The round mold is awesome because the resin magnifies, in detail, what is inside with the rounded top. Mix the resin according to the package directions in a disposable mixing cup. Next, pour the mixed resin into the molds to fill them about half way. Now let them sit for about 30 minutes.
Next, add a good shaking of glitter right over the resin in the mold. You can pick any color of glitter you like!
Finally mix up a little more resin and pour it right on top of the glitter resin knobs, filling the mold to the top.
Next, let the resin cure overnight, then pop the glittery pink resin knobs out of the molds. If the edges of resin are sharp, sand them down smooth with a nail file.
Use the E6000 to glue the knob hardware (DIY knob pull base) on the backside of the knobs.
I rested my knobs in an egg tray to keep the hardware until it dried and cured.
Finally, after the glue dries, the knobs are ready to use. Update that old dresser, vanity, out-dated nightstand or even those cabinets and cupboards! Pink glitter and resin would certainly make a darling pendant necklace too.
Glitter resin knobs make an especially stunning upgrade even by just changing out a few of the knobs… it’s a great way to add a pop of interest in the room. Do you have some furniture pieces that could surely use some updating? New resin knobs may be precisely what it needs!
Pin and save for later!

I have been looking for the knob pull base to make my door knobs. Where did you find your hardware?

I got mine from dlawlesshardware…check their DIY section.

I’m not being mean, but why didn’t u just put the hardware into the resin when u poured it letting the knobs dry into the resin?
Natalie Shaw
Hi Shana, good question. The main reason is the resin cures slowly and the hardware will sink in the resin. It would be hard to rig a way to keep the hardware level while the resin cures. If you have a good system for this, I’d love to know. 🙂 Thanks for reaching out.
