Keepsake Lace Resin Pendant Necklace DIY
Hi Resin Crafters, it’s Natalie from Doodlecraft! Lace is beautiful and delicate and makes a uniquely stunning pendant. Do you have some vintage lace, like from an old dress or doily that has seen better days? This is an especially great craft to use those pieces, and would make a great gift for others attached to the memories of the keepsake lace–like grandma’s blouse. If not, then simply buy a little snip of some floral lace and you are ready to create.
Supplies needed for Keepsake Lace Resin Pendant Necklace:
- Jewelry Resin
- Ultra Seal
- Lace
- Pendant Bezel
- Chain
- Black Paper
I created 2 different looks with the same lace and the same technique; however, the second one has a piece of black paper on the bezel with the lace on top of it. For example, check the pictures above, the black paper is on the pendant on the right side…it’s got higher contrast with the lace. Begin by cutting out a piece of lace and black paper (optional) the same size as the inside of the bezel.
Paint Ultra Seal inside the bezel and remove the excess glue. Add the black paper and paint more Ultra Seal over the paper.Next place the lace inside the bezel and paint Ultra Seal over the top of the lace. Let the pendant dry completely.Next mix up the Jewelry Resin according to the package directions. Wear gloves and work on a disposable surface. Set the bezel on a stirring stick to make it level while setting the resin. Then pour the resin slowly in the bezel, right on top of the lace.Next, fill the bezel until a shiny dome forms over the bezel. Then let it sit and cure overnight. After the resin has set completely, add a chain the bezels and enjoy this stunning keepsake necklace!
All things considered, this is a super simple craft and a great way to experience using resin.
