Adorable Bookmarks made with EasyCast

by Amber Oliver Leave a Comment

Hey Resin Crafters! Amber Oliver here with another great resin craft. If you’re a big reader like me, then you also have spent the last year doing a LOT of reading! What else would you do while locked in the house for months on end!? I’d much rather read about a “plague” than get it if you know what I mean!

cute resin bookmarks made with EasyCast on a stack of colorful books

I created these adorable bookmarks with EasyCast! I absolutely love ETI EasyCast as it’s ideal for casting small decorative items and have used it on a ton of projects!

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR BOOKMARKS MADE WITH EASYCAST

  • ETI EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy
  • Bookmark Molds
  • Plastic sheet designs
  • Mixing Cups
  • Stir Sticks

Step 1: Start by preparing your plastic sheet designs or other embellishments. Cut them to fit and place in your molds.

Step 2: Time to prepare the EasyCast. Anytime you are working with ETI EasyCast or any other products you should wear gloves! Start by mixing EQUAL parts of the Hardener and the Resin.

I used 80ml for this project and had more than enough to complete three different bookmarks and had some leftover. Click here if you’re looking for projects to do with leftover resin!

This is a multi-step process so don’t start mixing until you are ready to do the whole process from beginning to end!

Step 3: Stir for two minutes (be sure to scrape the bottoms and sides) then pour from the first cup into a second and mix with a new stir stick for another minute.

Step 4: Once the ETI EasyCast is mixed, gently pour into your molds!

Step 5: After you’ve allowed enough time for the resin to cure, you can remove from the molds.

I found these adorable Corgi plastic sheets at Daiso (A Japanese Dollar Store). If you have one in your city, check them out! You can also search online OR create your own designs with lamination!
