DIY molds for resin casting have been quite the hot topic in our Facebook group lately. It really is such a great way to get a casting of exactly what you want… whether it’s a found object, to replicate a favorite item you already have or to replace a missing piece (piece of molding, game piece, etc.)
Since we’ve done 3 Facebook Lives on this topic with 3 of our different mold building products, we decided to make our August challenge all about making your own molds!
Do you want to enter or learn more? Head here to our VIP Facebook group for all of the details and join if you haven’t already! And here’s our latest DIY mold tutorial if you need some pointers on making molds out of 3D objects. Angie shows us how you can use your DIY molds for a variety of projects in addition to resin casting… DIY candles, soaps or bath bombs, anyone? 🙂
We have some more great tutorials on making your own molds here.
We hope to see you over in the group and hope you’ll give DIY mold making a try! As always, if you have questions hit us up!

Lydi
Hi Marsha! The best way to do that would be with Mold Builder Liquid Latex Rubber. You can see it in action here: https://eti-usa.com/mold-builder-liquid-latex-rubber/
