Create beautiful resin bookmarks with glitter, metallic confetti, and EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy!
Hey Resin Crafters! Amber Oliver here with another great resin craft. I love to read – always have! I can go through a book or two a week – so I’m always in need of a bookmark. I had some plastic molds that I thought would be the perfect size – and this project turned out better than I could imagine! The tassels I added at the tops were the perfect finishing touch 🙂
SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR RESIN BOOKMARKS:
- EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy
- Rectangle molds
- Mold Release and Conditioner
- Glitter
- Metallic/foil confetti
- Mixing Cups
- Stir Sticks
Step 1: First, prepare the EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy. This is a multi-step process so don’t start mixing until you are ready to do the whole process from beginning to end! Start by mixing EQUAL parts of the Hardener and the Resin.
Stir for two minutes (be sure to scrape the bottoms and sides) then pour from the first cup into a second and mix with a new stir stick for another minute.
Step 2: Once your resin in ready, add in a bit of glitter!
Step 3: Spray molds with Mold Release. Pour into the molds and fill about 1/4 of the way up – just make sure it’s not too thick.
Step 4: Next, you can add in your embellishments! I used metallic confetti for mine.
Step 5: After you’ve allowed enough time for the resin to cure, you can remove from the molds.
Step 6: The last step for creating resin bookmarks is to drill a small hole in the top and tie on a tassel!
I love a project that’s not only cute, but practical too! I’ll use these resin bookmarks all the time and by making several at once I know have a few small gifts I can give out. Easy peasy!

Hello, I have made bookmarks twice now. Each time with a different mold and a different 2 part resin and each time they come out extremely flexible even after laying flat for several days. This second go round, I even domed the top to hopefully give it some more bulk and it is still flimsy. Everything else I make comes out great so what could I possibly be doing wrong with the book marks? Thank you!
Hi! My guess is it’s a bit too thin? I live in a humid climate and found sometimes my projects take quite a while to cure completely. Sorry you are having trouble!
Hi, i tried making book marks but mine end up thick or very thin at the ends and thick at the centre. How do i fix it. I tried reducing the amount of resin but it has not helped. It would be great if your could help or suggest me.
Hi Sampada! Two things: make sure your table is level! And secondly, your mold may be slightly warped. (My did this too!) Try putting a book or something heavy on top when you let them set to try to keep the mold completely flat. Good luck with your next batch!
