It’s so much fun to create customized jewelry to go with any outfit or style that you wear. You can also use this method to make amazing gifts for your loved ones for birthdays or holidays. You will not believe how easy it is to create beautiful jewelry using resin, and for these pendants, a little goes a long way! Here are all the details on how I created these Paper and Resin Pendants using just some small pieces of scrapbook paper, bezels and Envirotex Jewelry Resin.
Paper and Resin Pendants
SUPPLIES:
- Envirotex Jewelry Resin Kit
- Ultra-Seal (or other multipurpose sealer/glue)
- Vinyl Gloves
- Disposable work surface
- Pendant bezels
- Scrapbook paper pieces
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
Prep Pendants:
The first step is to cut the paper so that it fits perfectly into the bezel. Use the Ultra-seal or other multipurpose sealer/glue (a decoupage type) and glue the paper pieces into the bezels.
Coat the inside of the bezel with Ultra-Seal or other decoupage product.
Place the paper circles into the bezels. Press down evenly across entire paper.
Coat the entire paper with another layer of Ultra-Seal. Let dry. I left mine for about an hour, but it may dry faster than that.
Here’s what it looks like once the Ultra-Seal has dried clearly.
Mixing Resin:
Now it’s time to mix the resin that will fill your pendant bezel and give it that shiny, perfect glass-like surface. Put on your gloves. Using the small disposable cups in the Envirotex Jewelry Resin kit, mix equal amounts of Part A and Part B into a cup. Stir thoroughly.
Next, pour the mixture into a second cup and stir thoroughly again. This will ensure that there will be no soft spots and everything is completely mixed.
Now, pour the mixture into each bezel. You want to fill it completely, but be careful not to overfill.
As you can see, there will be bubbles. That’s okay! Simply exhale over the top of the pieces and the carbon dioxide will pop the bubbles. You may need to do this a couple times as the resin is settling.
Let the resin cure for 24 hours in a warm, dust-free space.
Finished!
And there you have it! Two beautiful Paper and Resin Pendants that you can wear with various outfits!
Isn’t it beautiful how shiny and perfect the resin makes these necklaces?

Great article, Sheri! I was wondering, can you use any type of paper for this project? Is there a paper that works better than other paper?
Thank you in advance,
Becky 🙂
Lydi

Hi Sheri!
Hi Sheri,
I am running into a dilemma while working with uv resin. I had some luck with it on my paper and then other times it makes this shiney “scale.” I feel like I’ve tried everything, but my results are inconsistent. Do you have any suggestions or advice as to how I can fix it? Thank so much!
Ellen
Lydi
Hi Ellen! Unfortunately since we don’t make UV resin I don’t have any advice to offer I’m afraid. I hope it worked out ok!
