Make any headband into a no slip headband with FiberLok!

Hello Resin Crafters. It’s Amber from Amber Oliver DIY with a fun (non-resin related) craft. Want to know what drives me crazier than having to wait for new episodes of a TV show? A headband that won’t stay in place! What can I say, Netflix has spoiled me! Let me spoil you with this headband hack using Fiber-Lok Rug Backing that is bound to make your day! Whether you’re DIYing a cute headband from scratch or you have a favorite headband that drives you crazy, I’ll show you have to make any headband into a “no slip headband”!

Fiber-Lok Rug Backing is made for keeping rugs in place but it has so many other amazing practical uses… use it to keep placemats from sliding across the table, to add traction to slippery socks, to keep coasters in their place on the coffee table, to prevent hot pads from spilling your recipes and more.

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR DIY NO SLIP HEADBAND:

  • Fiber-Lok Rug Backing
  • Headband
  • Paintbrush
  • Embellishments if needed/wanted
16 oz fiber-lok

Step 1: Start with a headband that won’t stay in place. For this tutorial I’ll also show you how decorate one as well!

Step 2: Open the Fiber-Lok and prepare you self and workspace – the stuff is a bit stinky before it dries!

Step 3: Using a small brush, brush Fiber-Lok onto the back of the headband. Fiber-Lok will appear transparent when it is dry!

Step 4: If your headband needs embellishing, now you can proceed!

Step 4: I painted glue on the top side and added glitter to my new no slip headband!

I hope this project inspires you to use this little trick next time you need to make a no slip headband!
