Hairclips DIY with Glittery Resin!

Hair Clips DIY with Glittery Resin!

Hi Resin Crafters, it’s Natalie from Doodlecraft sharing this fun hair clip resin craft. Make gold and sparkly hair clips with jewelry resin to match an outfit or for a handmade gift. This unique resin craft takes just a few supplies and about 10 minutes of working time, then overnight to dry. These cute clips should be made in every color, perfect for every outfit or dress in the closet. One can never have too many hair clips!Make a gold and sparkly hairclip with jewelry resin to match an outfit or for handmade gift.

Supplies Needed:

  • Envirotex Jewelry Resin
  • Gold Alligator Hair clips
  • Small Vials of Glitter (Color and Shape of your choice)
  • Disposable Gloves and Work surface

Begin by mixing up about a teaspoon of jewelry resin according to the package directions. Be sure to use the two phase mixing process as outlined. After mixing for the full time, dump the glitter into the resin and stir in.

Stir in the glitter so that it feels like there is very little resin and lots of glitter. This is the best way to work with glitter, because it won’t get everywhere.

Next use a disposable stirring stick to drip small amounts of resin on the top of the alligator clip. The resin is amazing and self-levels, but use the stick to spread the glittery resin around the surface.

Then set the clip on a stack of stirring sticks so that the surface of the hair clip is level with the table.

Repeat the process for all additional clips, and then let them sit overnight for the resin to cure.  They look like a party of confetti and sparkle! The gold hair clip is luxurious enough to wear alone, but the colored glitter adds an especially fun finish.

That’s it! These hair clips are ready to wear or give as a gift…even clipped on the top of a gift like a bow! Don’t forget to Like, Pin and Share!
